Where will the museum be located?

The permanent museum will be located on Hwy 97 on the north end of Bend. If you are familiar with the area, we will be across the highway from Trader Joe’s and just south of UHaul. The mobile museum will continue bringing interactive exhibits and learning opportunities throughout Central Oregon.

How can we get the mobile museum to come to our location?

When will summer camps restart?

We are currently working with our board and volunteers to develop camp curriculum and hope to start providing camps and after school programming in 2025.

How will CMCO be different from the High Desert Museum?

The High Desert Museum is a wonderful resource for Central Oregon. Their indoor exhibits are focused on natural history and visual arts. CMCO will be a different style of museum with a very different focus. CMCO is a STEAM-focused museum providing informal learning opportunities for the youngest members of our community. Our target audience will be children ages birth - 10 and their families. All exhibits will be hands-on and interactive. We will be a ‘touch’ museum as opposed to a ‘look’ museum.
